Will Lovell is the former Head of Future Technology at the Bank of England, a Keynote Speaker, Guest Lecturer, writer and broadcaster. During a 25 year career at the Bank of England Will chaired the Bank's AI taskforce, leading the roll out of Artificial Intelligence across the Bank and creating its AI strategy and policy. His focus was not just upon how AI can be used for automation, but how the technology can be deployed to deliver new insights and organisational structures to accommodate these changes. Will also had leading roles in the creation of the Digital Pound blueprint and the renewal of the UK's high value payment system. This included how blockchain and smart contract technology can be integrated into the existing payment system to leverage the benefits that this technology brings while also delivering the trust and reliability that the economy requires. An experienced keynote speaker. Will has appeared at finance and technology conferences across Europe. He has also given guest lectures on finance technology at the Bayes Business School & Cambridge Judge Business School. Will began his career at the BBC World Service writing software for digital satellite broadcasting and appearing as a technical expert on popular science programmes.
